RACE CONCIERGE
Throughout the 2014 race season we're inviting you to share your top tips on things to do and places to see in countries the McLaren Mercedes Formula 1 team will be visiting. By clicking on the arrows our virtual globe lets you track the team as they travel through five continents and nineteen countries, learning fun facts and stats along the way!

While McLaren Mercedes battle it out on the grid, we're inviting you to step away from the track and tell us your favourite places to go in each location. Our Hilton HHonors Concierge will also help you explore their city by sharing local insights into what to see and where to go.

If you want to see the amazing water ways, old crumbling buildings, alleyways, temples like in the movies as well as try incredible street food, head out to Zhujiajiao (about an hour outside Shanghai).
And Tian Zi Fang is the perfect place to pick up gifts and just get lost in the maze of less touristy shops.. Have fun!

The distinctive Singapore skyline is comprised of a mixture of modern skyscrapers and eclectic Asian architecture. The rich heritage has remained during the country’s rapid development allowing visitors to experience both traditional and contemporary activities. The city’s port is the second busiest in the world with large shipment containers regularly visiting the countries shores. It is also the lifeline of Singapore due to the limited land and natural resources available in the region.

Located next to the Fountain of Wealth, the Conrad Singapore Centennial connects guests with the heart of the prestigious Marina Bay region. The hotel provides award winning service in a stylish and luxurious environment offering guests all the amenities required to enjoy their stay.

Mohamad Fasle Bin Rifaeh, the concierge at the hotel gave us his top tips on places to see and things to do while in Singapore.

It is very hard to choose just one location! I do spend a lot of time on Orchard Road which is the major shopping district of Singapore where all the main retailers and restaurants can be found.
I would recommend visiting the iconic Merlion statue located in the heart of the city. The Merlion statue is half Lion and half fish and is used as a symbol by Singapore Tourism Board (STB).
My top tip would be to visit the fountain of wealth and wish for good health and fortune. The water fountain is the largest in the world with music and laser shows taking place at various times during the day. It really is spectacle worth seeing!
Kaya from Ya Kun. This is a coconut jam – perfect for spreading on top of any desserts!
The best view of the city has to be from the Singapore Flyer which is located near the race circuit pit buildings. You can book a private pod and enjoy the spectacular scenery by day or night with a glass of champagne!
The Henderson Waves, a bridge linking Mount Faber to Kent Ridge park, for the stunning views and nature walks.
The restaurant Lau Pa Sat which has been newly renovated in the colonial building showcasing local street food.
What national dish must be tried when in Singapore?
Not one location can sum up the Singapore lifestyle as it is such a diverse city! If I were to choose a few areas I would say Clarke Quay for its nightlife. Waterloo Street, to show the diversity with various religious venues (church, synagogue, mosque, Indian temple and Chinese temple) and Changi Village for rustic food enjoyed by locals.
Diverse, vibrant and charismatic.
