Whole Foods! The flagship store of the organic healthy food grocer on North Lamar will not disappoint. They have hot and cold foods, tacos, seafood, pizza, pasta, sushi, and even a wine bar. Everything is made fresh. All delicious. I could spend all day there!

Visit the choc restaurant at Marina bay sands - amazing views of the city and the track! For bars head to lantern (Fullerton bay), ku de ta (MBS hotel) or 1-altitude (UOB centre) - all rooftop bars. For burgers with a view go to overeasy. Sights - night safari, sentosa and gardens by the bay. Shops - MBS or ion shopping mall at orchard road. Brunch - wild honey at mandarin gallery on orchard. Local Asian food - go to MBS food court!

If you want to see the amazing water ways, old crumbling buildings, alleyways, temples like in the movies as well as try incredible street food, head out to Zhujiajiao (about an hour outside Shanghai).
And Tian Zi Fang is the perfect place to pick up gifts and just get lost in the maze of less touristy shops.. Have fun!

Known as the ‘Live Music Capital of the World’, Austin hosts two annual music festivals which complement the various lively bars and clubs found on 6th Street. Music is not all that visitors can enjoy in the city as there are also theatres, film festivals and national parks to explore.

The Hilton Austin Hotel’s recent sweeping upgrades reflect the city's eclectic charm and positions the hotel as the 'capital' choice for visitors. The hotel is located in downtown Austin allowing guests to reach all the major attractions with ease. During their stay, guests can expect to enjoy high quality cuisine at the Finn & Porter Restaurant as well as a relaxed environment to enjoy a cocktail at the Loft Bar.

We spoke with Tyler K. Watson, the concierge at Hilton Austin who gave us his top tips on things to do and see in the city.

Tyler K. Watson
Hilton Austin
Concierge
One of my favourite places would have to be Laguna Gloria. It is an art museum right outside of the immediate downtown area with sprawling gardens and new installations everyday by some of the artist with residence there.
I always say if you have to visit Austin in a short period of time you should always go to the South Congress District. Also known as the SoCo District, this area gives you a quick taste of Austin culture. They have everything from antiques, boutiques, art galleries, and some of Austin’s best food trucks.
It’s a must to take a dip in one of our natural swimming holes like Barton Creek, it’s kept naturally at a cool 68 degrees all year round.
Everyone needs a good pair of boots or a cowboy hat from Allen’s boots on South Congress, they are good for any occasion, especially around here.
The top floors of our hotel facing west provide one of the best views of the skyline, especially at night.
There is a great bar on the east side of 6th street called Whistler’s that makes some of the most amazing craft cocktails I have ever had while housed in a candle lit bar with old rustic elegance. I recommend “The Brown Derby”.
I would definitely have to recommend Searsucker between 4th and 5th on Colorado. It is American Cuisine at it finest with a refreshing twist that Austinites love and a glorious cinematic atmosphere.
Anything with bacon. I suggest Frank for a wide menu of bacon items to make your mouth water. From the bacon infused to Bloody Mary to their signature “pork-it” you won’t be left disappointed.
Rainey street district is one of the best places to capture a glimpse of the local culture. An old neighbourhood that has been up converted into indie bars and fabulous restaurants really showcases what Austin is all about.
Artistic, Musical, and Eclectic.
